ALK5-IN-8 is an effective inhibitor of TGFβRI (ALK5)· By blocking the binding of TGFβRI to its ligand, ALK5-IN-8 inhibits phosphorylation of downstream signaling proteins (Smad2 or Smad3) by ALK5, thereby affecting or blocking TGF-β signaling· ALK5-IN-8 has potential for researching various diseases mediated by ALK5 (information taken from patent WO2021190425A1, compound 1)
