Gemtuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD33 antigen, which is present on leukemic myeloid cells in acute myeloid leukemia (AML)· Gemtuzumab can be used to synthesize an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), called Gemtuzumab ozogamicin· Gemtuzumab ozogamicin consists of a cytotoxic derivative of calicheamicin, a cell-killing antibiotic, and a monoclonal antibody· Gemtuzumab ozogamicin can be used for research on acute myeloid leukemia
