Substrate for neutral metalloendoproteases· It blocks the exocytotic release of histamine and of catecholamines· Furthermore, it interferes with insulin processing and inhibits glucose transport in adipocytes· Richards et al· could obtain potent inhibition of SV40 infection by Z-GF-amide, which also inhibited late events in cholera toxin action
