Specialized in N-glucuronidation of tertiary amine-containing drugs and xenobiotics. Catalyzes N-glucuronidation of tobacco alkaloids, tobacco-specific nitrosamines, tricyclic antidepressants and compounds containing imidazole groups. Major enzyme responsible for detoxification of tobacco-specific nitrosamines.
